Starting this week, we’ll be selling Createx Colors paint. So if you’re into any kind of air brushing, check us out. We want to thank Craig and John from Createx for bringing their entire line of paints and supplies to our store.
“Wednesday Night Worlds” will go down tomorrow, March 15.
Thursday, Friday and Sunday will be off-road practice and racing as usual.
Saturday will be the 4th race of the “Super Saturday” On-Road Series. Last Saturday, Race #3, we started at a new time. That new time worked out well. We were able to do 11 heats, 2 quals and a main and we were done racing by 6pm. We want to thank everyone for making it a fun, but efficient race day. So remember, we’ll do the same hours this Saturday, with doors opening at 8am and racing starting at 12noon. This week, we have a little incentive for our racers, if you pay for 2 classes, you can race a 3rd class for free.
Next week will be our second annual Las Vegas Off-Road Carpet Championship race, directed and announced by Scotty Ernst. We are anticipating a big crowd and fun times. We’ll have 2 food trucks on premises, Busters Dawg House and our local sponsor, The Frozen Frog, with their Hawaiian Shave Ice, Dole Whip, and Gourmet popcorn. Some of the proceeds from The Frozen Frog sales will go back to 702 RC Raceway. A new layout for the race will be put in Friday morning , March 24. Let us also remind you of our hobby sponsors, Team Associated and JConcepts.
Speaking of Team Associated, they released their carpet version of the B64 this week and we cant wait to get them in. As many of you know, Team Associated did some of their carpet testing at “Da 702” and that buggy will truly be great on our surface. We are accepting pre-orders now, get yours in. We’ll also have parts in the hobby shop for the Team Associated F6 (F1) starting next week, so rest assured, we will have the parts to support that chassis as soon as its released.
April 22, we’ll have our first ever TCS race. More details on that very soon.
May 20, will bring the second race of our Las Vegas RC Gran Prix. Last week we announced that we added VTA to this years race, but we are also thinking about adding a Mini Cooper (M-o5) class to this scale race. If you like that idea, let us know about it!
See you at the Track!
