USVTA class added to the Super Saturday On Road Series

After a great response to the request we sent out, we’ve decided to add the USVTA class to the Super Saturday On Road Series.  Rules and links are posted on this website.  All rules will be enforced from the paint schemes with numbers to the ROAR approved motors (only 6 to choose from).  Unfortunately, we have also decided to remove the novice class from this race series.  Despite our efforts to have this class available for new and young drivers, this class just hasn’t been where it needs to be to keep it in this race series.  However, this class will still be offered during club racing events.  If you have any other questions, please contact anyone of the advisory board members.

Excerpt from USVTA Rules page:

MOST IMPORTANTLY: If it’s not in the rules, and does not encompass the spirit of slower, controlled racing with realistic looking cars, consider it illegal. This is called the “Spirit of VTA” Rule.

The class is based on slower, equal playing field competition with less traction, minimal aerodynamic aids and mostly older carpet racing technology. The final objective is close, fair, wheel-to-wheel racing for all. All decisions of the race promoter or track owner are final.
